Al-Baqarah
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ لَوۡلَا يُكَلِّمُنَا ٱللَّهُ أَوۡ تَأۡتِينَآ ءَايَةٞۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّثۡلَ قَوۡلِهِمۡۘ تَشَٰبَهَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۗ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا ٱلۡأٓيَٰتِ لِقَوۡمٖ يُوقِنُونَ
118And illiterate people say: “Why does not Allah speak to us or why does not a proof (of your Prophethood) come to us?” The (ignorant) people of the past used to say the same thing. In fact, all of them have similar hearts (due to their utter ignorance). (Allah says; you are looking for one proof). Indeed, We have sent many clear proofs for the people who firmly believe (and they attain satisfaction from it).(Also Surah Al-Isra 90-93)
