About the Surah

And (remember) when you said: “O Musa (), we are not contented with one kind of food. Hence, pray to your Creator to provide us what earth grows (in the form of) vegetables, cucumbers, wheat (or garlic), lentils and onions. Musa () said: “Do you wish to exchange the better food with the lower grade of food? (If, however you don’t listen to me) enter the big city (metropolis), you will find what you have requested for. And they were inflicted by humiliation, misery, and they returned with the wrath of Allah. This is because they disbelieved the revelations of Allah and killed the Prophets unjustly. This was also because they disobeyed Allah and transgressed beyond limits
